DrawAlive is a creative app designed for children and families. It allows users to capture or upload drawings and transform them into animated videos using AI technology.

a. Personal Information

We do not require you to create an account or log in to use the App. However, certain features may involve:

• Purchase History: We process subscription information through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat. We do not store your credit card or payment details directly. Apple and RevenueCat handle all payment processing.

b. Device Information

We collect limited device information to operate the App:

• Device Identifier: We generate and store an anonymous unique identifier (UUID) on your device to manage usage quotas and communicate with our server. This identifier is not linked to your personal identity.
• Device Type & OS Version: Collected anonymously for compatibility and performance optimization.

c. User Content (Photos & Drawings)

To provide our core animation service, the App processes the following data:

• Camera Photos: When you use the camera feature, captured images are used solely to generate animated videos. Images are sent to our server for AI processing.
• Photo Library Images: When you choose to upload an image from your photo library, it is used solely for the animation generation process.

Important: We do not use your photos or drawings to train AI models. Images are transmitted solely to generate the animated video you requested, and are not permanently stored on our servers after processing is complete.

d. Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data to improve app performance:

• Generation Count: We track how many video generations you have used from your subscription or purchased credit packs to manage usage quotas. This data is stored locally on your device and synchronized via Keychain.
• Crash Logs: Anonymized crash reports may be collected through RevenueCat SDK for diagnostic purposes.

2. Data Collection for AI Feature

Our AI-powered animation feature requires specific data handling as described below:

• What Data We Collect: We collect photos/images of drawings selected and uploaded by the user specifically for the animation feature.
• How We Collect It: The data is collected explicitly when the user selects a photo from their immediate camera roll or takes a new picture and taps the generate button.
• Use of the Data: The uploaded drawings are strictly used to apply AI-generated animation effects and bring the artwork to life.
• Third-Party AI Service: The photos are securely transmitted to our third-party AI provider, BytePlus ARK AI. BytePlus ARK AI provides the same or equal protection of user data as outlined in this policy. They do not use your personal images/drawings to train their models, and the data is deleted after the animation is processed. We do not sell your personal data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following specific purposes:

• Service Delivery: Processing your drawings through AI models to generate animated videos.
• Image Validation: Using AI to verify that uploaded content is a drawing before processing.
• Subscription Management: Managing your subscription status (free or premium) through Apple StoreKit and RevenueCat.
• Quota Management: Tracking usage to enforce free tier generation limits.
• Improvement: Analyzing anonymized crash logs and performance data to fix bugs and improve the App.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

• BytePlus ARK AI (ByteDance): Our sole AI service provider. BytePlus ARK AI powers both core features of the App:
  • Video Generation: Your drawings are sent to BytePlus ARK AI servers to be transformed into animated videos using the Seedance AI model.
  • Image Validation: Before processing, your images are analyzed by BytePlus ARK AI (Seed model) to verify that the uploaded content contains a valid drawing.

• RevenueCat: For subscription and in-app purchase management. RevenueCat processes anonymized purchase data and device identifiers to manage your subscription status. Privacy Policy

All in-app purchases and payments are processed through Apple's App Store infrastructure. We do not directly handle or store any payment information.

These third-party providers process your data only as necessary to deliver their respective services. They are obligated to protect your data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

5. Data Storage & Security

• Local Storage: Generated videos and usage data (generation count, preferences) are stored locally on your device. You can delete them by removing the App.
• Server Processing: Images sent for animation are processed on BytePlus ARK AI servers and are not permanently stored after the video is generated.
• Subscription Data: Purchase and subscription information is managed by Apple and RevenueCat and retained as necessary for billing and legal compliance.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

• Local Data: All locally stored data (videos, images, preferences) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the App from your device.
• Server Data: Uploaded images are processed in real-time and are not permanently retained on our servers.
• Subscription Data: Retained by Apple and RevenueCat as long as necessary for tax, legal, and billing compliance purposes.

7. Permissions We Request

The App requests the following device permissions, each for a specific purpose:

• Camera Access: To capture photos of your drawings for animation.
• Photo Library Access (Read): To select existing drawings from your photo library.
• Photo Library Access (Write): To save generated animated videos to your photo library.

All permissions are optional and requested only when needed. The App functions with limited features if permissions are denied.

8. Children's Privacy

DrawAlive is designed to be a family-friendly app suitable for children. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

• We do not require account creation or login.
• We do not collect personal information from children.
• We do not display targeted advertisements.
• We do not share any personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
• All data collection is limited to what is strictly necessary for the App to function (drawing processing and subscription management).

Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children's use of the App, particularly for in-app purchases.
