Privacy Policy — GPS Camera Map

Summary

GPS Camera Map (“the App”) is a camera app that adds GPS, time, map, and optional weather information as a watermark on your photos. We designed the App so that your photos and location data are processed primarily on your device. We do not sell your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

The App is published by the developer listed on the Apple App Store (“we”, “us”, or “our”).

2. Information the App accesses

Camera	Used to capture photos and show a live preview. Photos are processed on your device to apply the stamp overlay.
Location	When you grant permission, the App reads GPS coordinates (latitude, longitude, altitude, heading) while the App is in use to display location, coordinates, map snapshots, and weather on your stamp. You may also set a manual location on the map.
Photos	With your permission, the App can save stamped photos to your Photo Library. If you choose a custom logo, the App may read a single image you select from your library.
Weather	If enabled, the App requests weather data (temperature, conditions, humidity, wind, pressure) for your current or chosen location via Apple WeatherKit. Your coordinates are sent to Apple’s weather service for this purpose.
Maps	Map previews and map tiles on stamps are generated using Apple MapKit on your device or through Apple’s map services.
Device & app data	Template settings, camera preferences, optional social handles, notes, and a list of photos saved in the in-app gallery are stored locally on your device (UserDefaults and app storage).
Subscriptions	If you purchase GPS Camera Map Pro, payment is processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status (e.g., whether Pro is active). RevenueCat may receive an anonymous app user identifier and purchase receipt data from Apple — not your payment card details.

3. How we use information

To capture photos and render the GPS/time/map/weather stamp you configure
To show your location, address (via reverse geocoding), and map on the stamp
To save stamped photos to your Photo Library when you choose to save
To keep your template and app preferences between sessions
To store photos in the optional in-app gallery on your device
To provide, validate, and restore Pro subscriptions
To improve stability and fix bugs

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Where data is stored

On your device: Captured photos, in-app gallery copies, template settings, last known location pin (for faster stamp display), and logo images you select.
On your iPhone/iPad Photo Library: Only when you explicitly save a photo.
Apple & service providers: WeatherKit and MapKit may process location as described above. Apple processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription entitlement data.

We do not operate our own servers to collect or store your photos or precise location history.

5. Data sharing

We share information only in these situations:

Apple — App Store payments, WeatherKit, MapKit, and iOS system services as needed for App functionality.
RevenueCat — Subscription and receipt validation (RevenueCat Privacy Policy).
Legal requirements — If required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

6. Your choices & controls

Permissions: You can deny or revoke Camera, Location, or Photo Library access in iOS Settings. Some features will not work without the relevant permission.
Manual location: You can choose a location on the map instead of using live GPS.
Template fields: You control which stamp fields (address, weather, map, notes, etc.) appear on your photos.
Delete data: Delete photos from the in-app gallery inside the App. Remove saved photos from your Photo Library using the Photos app. Uninstalling the App removes locally stored app data.
Subscriptions: Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. Because most processing happens on your device, you are also responsible for securing your device and Apple ID.

9. International users

If you use the App outside your home country, your information may be processed by Apple and other service providers in countries where they operate, under their respective privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
